 19 OCT 22 Wednesday SOAPS Devotional

Reading Plan: Psalm 38; Proverbs 19; Rev. 8:1-13; Luke 10:17-24

Are you afraid of climate change destruction?

S- One third of the earth was set on fire, one-third of the trees were burned, and all the green grass was burned.  One-third of the water in the sea became blood, one-third of all the things living in the sea died, and one-third of all the ships on the sea were destroyed. Rev. 8:2, 8-9

O- Our culture is consumed with fear or projecting that the world will end if we don’t fix climate change.  We know the end and it is not destroyed by us polluting it.  The climate will change by the command of Jesus Christ and will be destroyed by his judgment.  Changing to electric cars won’t save the planet or ourselves.  Only through repenting of our sins and putting our trust in Jesus for what he did on the cross will keep from eternal destruction.

A- I will keep a true perspective on the future and daily put my trust in Jesus.  I will speak the truth of the gospel to those that are far from God so that they have an opportunity to turn from their sins.

P- Lord, we get caught up with the fears projected by politicians and pagan earth worshipers about climate destruction, yet have no concern for their souls.  Help us to embrace the future you have promised by your word and entrust you with our lives.  Empower us to take the gospel to all that are far from you and change their hearts and minds to receive you. Amen.
