Day 2: Do Not Fear People
Scripture: Matthew 10:26–31
“So have no fear of them.”
Three times in this passage, Jesus tells His followers not to fear. He knows that fear can silence our witness, weaken our faith, and distract us from our mission.
Fear often grows when we focus on what others think about us. We worry about rejection, criticism, embarrassment, or loss. Yet Jesus reminds us that people can only affect our earthly lives. They cannot touch our eternal souls.
Then Jesus points to God’s care. Not even a sparrow falls to the ground apart from the Father’s knowledge. If God notices every sparrow, how much more does He care for His children?
You are not forgotten. You are not overlooked. God knows every detail of your life, including every burden you carry today.
Reflection Questions:
- What fears are most influencing your decisions right now?
- How does God’s care for you help put those fears into perspective?
Prayer:
Father, replace my fear with trust. Help me remember that You see me, know me, and care for me. Give me the courage to live boldly for Christ. Amen.
