Day 2: Pray with Purpose
Scripture: Matthew 9:37–38
“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’”
Observation:
Jesus didn’t start with action—He started with prayer. Before sending the Twelve, He told them to pray. Strategic prayer aligns our hearts with God’s mission and opens doors we can’t open ourselves. The harvest is ready; we just need more willing and faithful workers.
Question to Consider:
Am I praying intentionally for God to raise up workers—and to send me?
Challenge:
Set your alarm for 9:38 AM or PM (Matthew 9:38) or 10:02 AM/PM (Luke 10:2) and pray daily for God to send workers into the harvest—including you.
Prayer:
Lord of the harvest, awaken hearts and raise up workers. I hear you calling me, and I say yes. Give me boldness to pray, care, and share the good news of your Son Jesus. Amen.
