Day 4: The Power of Praise
Scripture: Luke 17:15–16
“One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.”
Devotional Thought:
Nine of the lepers went on their way, content with the blessing they received. But one returned—filled with gratitude and worship. True worship begins with recognizing God as the Giver, not just celebrating what He gives.
Praise transforms us. Gratitude shifts our focus from temporary relief to eternal hope. The outcast found not just healing, but restoration and a relationship with God.
Reflection Question:
How can you cultivate a heart of gratitude that turns everyday blessings into worship?
Challenge:
Take five minutes today to write down three specific ways God has blessed you recently. Then, verbally thank Him for each one. If possible, share your gratitude with someone else.
Prayer:
Jesus, may my heart overflow with thanksgiving for all You have done. Teach me to return to You, not just for blessings, but for You. Amen.
