Day 3 — Filled for a Purpose
Scripture: Ephesians 5:18
“Be filled with the Spirit.”
The filling of the Holy Spirit is not merely an emotional experience—it is empowerment for holy living, worship, witness, and service.
When the disciples were filled at Pentecost, they did not remain hidden in the upper room. They became bold witnesses for Christ.
A Spirit-filled life is not self-centered; it is mission-centered.
The Holy Spirit empowers ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things for God’s kingdom.
Peter had denied Jesus only weeks earlier. Yet after being filled with the Spirit, he boldly proclaimed the gospel before thousands.
The Spirit gives courage where fear once ruled.
He gives compassion where selfishness once lived.
He gives strength where weakness once prevailed.
God does not fill us simply so we can feel inspired. He fills us so we can become channels of His grace to others.
Reflection Question:
How could God use your life to bless and encourage others this week?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, fill me afresh today. Empower me to live courageously, love deeply, and point others toward Jesus. Amen.
