Day 2: Intercession Moves the Heart of God
Scripture: Amos 7:1–6
Focus: The Power of Prayer
Observation:
Before the plumb line vision, Amos sees two disasters coming: locusts and fire. Both times, he pleads with God to stop—and God listens. That’s the power of intercession. When we pray, we aren’t just expressing faith—we’re standing in the gap.
God listens to heartfelt prayer. Not because we deserve it, but because He is merciful.
Reflection Questions:
- Who needs your prayers right now?
- Do you believe your prayers can move the heart of God?
Challenge:
Write down the names of three people or groups in need of God’s mercy. Spend 10 minutes interceding for them today—out loud if possible.
Prayer:
God, thank You for hearing prayer. Forgive me when I doubt its power. Teach me to pray like Amos—with faith, urgency, and compassion. Use my prayers to bring healing and change. Amen.
