Day 2: Crying Out for Mercy
Scripture: Luke 17:13
“They called out, ‘Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!’”
Devotional Thought:
The lepers called Jesus “Master” and begged for mercy. They recognized their need and turned to the one who could actually help. Sometimes, the hardest step is admitting we can’t fix ourselves and crying out for help.
Mercy isn’t about getting what we deserve—it’s about receiving the grace we cannot earn. This story reminds us that hope starts when we surrender our situation to God.
Reflection Question:
What areas of your life do you need to bring before Jesus in humility and faith?
Challenge:
Write down one area of struggle where you’ve been trying to fix things on your own. Take a moment to pray and surrender it to Jesus, asking for His mercy and guidance.
Prayer:
Jesus, I come to You today, recognizing my need. Have mercy on me, and bring hope where there is despair. Amen.
