Day 1 — Called to Alignment
Scripture:
“Now we command you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from every brother or sister who is idle and disruptive…”
— 2 Thessalonians 3:6
Devotional:
Alignment is more than agreement—it is discipline, focus, and unity. In boot camp, alignment is non-negotiable: uniforms sharp, racks tight, bearing squared away. Those small acts of discipline shape a sailor’s identity and readiness. Likewise, Paul commands believers to align their lives with Christ and stay away from patterns that breed disorder. Misalignment—spiritual or military—always leads to drift.
Military Connection:
Just as the Chief shifts from friendly to enforcing the standard, God uses correction to keep His people mission-ready. Alignment isn’t about perfection—it’s about living with intention, integrity, and commitment to the mission.
Prayer:
Lord, help me align my life with Your mission. Remove attitudes, habits, and relationships that pull me off course. Give me the courage to pursue alignment daily. Amen.
Challenge:
Identify one area of your life that has drifted—devotional time, rest, relationships, work ethic, finances—and name what alignment looks like this week.
