Scripture:
“Do not regard them as an enemy, but warn them as a brother or sister.”
— 2 Thessalonians 3:15
Devotional:
Paul’s correction is firm, but it’s never cruel. Discipline is not rejection—it’s restoration. God’s discipline, like the push-ups and knife-hand corrections of military training, is purposeful: to make us stronger, sharper, and more aligned with His will. Love sets boundaries. Love speaks truth. Love calls people higher.
Military Connection:
NJP, EMI, counseling—they exist not to shame a sailor but to restore readiness. Spiritual accountability serves the same purpose: to bring us back into alignment with Christ and the community.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your discipline. Help me receive correction with humility and extend it to others with compassion and wisdom. Amen.
Challenge:
Think of someone who needs gentle correction, encouragement, or boundaries. Pray for them today, and ask God for the right timing and approach.
