Devotional: Secure Salvation Part 1

 Day 1: Peace with God

Scripture: Romans 5:1 | Colossians 1:19–22

Observation:

Peace with God is not something we earn; it is something we receive through faith in Jesus. Because of Christ, the hostility between us and God is over. The war is finished. You are no longer an enemy—you are a friend, a child, fully accepted and forever loved.

Reflection Question:

Do I live each day as though I am at peace with God, or do I still carry fear, shame, or guilt that Christ has already removed?

Challenge:

Write down one area of your life where you’ve been holding on to guilt or shame. Pray over it and symbolically "release" it to God—tear up the note, throw it away, or burn it as an act of faith in your peace with Him.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for making peace with me through Jesus. Help me to live in the freedom of Your acceptance, resting in the truth that I am no longer condemned but completely forgiven. Amen

Lessons from Job part 5

Day 5: Restored, but Not the Same

Scripture: Job 42:10

“And the LORD restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

Observation:

God didn’t just restore Job—He transformed him. Job’s view of God deepened, and his heart grew more compassionate. While not all suffering ends with visible restoration, God’s purposes always end with growth, maturity, and eternal reward. Job’s story points us forward to Christ—the One who suffered and was exalted.

Prayer:

God, thank You that no suffering is wasted. Shape my character and draw me closer to You through every trial. Help me to trust Your plan and rest in Your grace. Amen.

Lessons from Job part 4

Day 4: God Speaks

Scripture: Job 38:4

“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding.”

Observation:

When God finally speaks, He doesn’t give Job answers—He gives Job Himself. God reminds Job that He is the Creator and Sustainer. Sometimes what we need most is not an explanation, but a revelation of God’s majesty and sovereignty. Trust grows when we remember who He is.

Prayer:

Lord, You are wise beyond my comprehension. Help me trust You even when I don’t understand. Show me Your glory and give me peace. Amen.

Lessons from Job part 3

Day 3: Wrestling with God

Scripture: Job 3:11

“Why did I not perish at birth, and die as I came from the womb?”

Observation:

Job didn’t hold back his grief. He questioned, mourned, and poured out his despair. God never rebuked Job for his honesty. God can handle our questions, pain, and even anger. What He desires is a relationship, even when it’s messy. Our lament is not rebellion—it can be worship.

Prayer:

Father, help me to be honest with You. I don’t want to pretend. In my doubts and darkness, meet me with Your light and love. Amen.

Lessons from Job part 2

Day 2: Silent Struggles

Scripture: Job 2:11-13

“And they sat with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his suffering was very great.”

Reflection:

Sometimes the deepest pain has no words. Job’s friends sat with him silently—initially a wise move. There’s sacredness in presence without platitudes. In our own suffering or when walking with someone through theirs, silence, empathy, and prayer are powerful ministry.

Prayer:

God, teach me to be present—for others and with You—even when words fail. Thank You for being near to the brokenhearted. Amen.
